Le projet est situé au sommet d’une péninsule surplombant le Loch Lomond, en Ecosse. De forme triangulaire, il apparaît d’abord comme une construction étroite et verticale, entourée d’arbres. Le Loch est uniquement perceptible à travers un long tunnel qui marque l’entrée de la structure. Le tunnel, aussi étroit que le sentier, part du sommet du triangle et se termine à sa base en révélant des vues spectaculaires sur le Loch Lomond. Ce n’est qu’en sortant du tunnel que l’on perçoit les escaliers menant au sommet de la structure. Le projet créé un repère visuel pour les nombreux randonneurs et leur permet d’admirer le paysage d’un point de vue unique. Il s’agit d’une structure de type mixte bois/métal. Les murs ainsi que les escaliers et les bancs sont recouverts d’un bardage en bois de mélèze.

The viewpoint is located on a peninsula overlooking the Loch Lomond in Scotland. The structure which takes the shape of a triangle is first seen as a narrow vertical stack amongst the tree trunks. Only a glimpse towards the loch is visible through a long tunnel, that marks the entrance. The single storey tunnel that is as narrow as the path, leads from one vertex of the triangle to its base with views over the loch disguising the scale of the project. Only after having passed through this entrance and then looking back into the triangle, the viewpoint manifests itself as a steep rising platform that is accessed by steps going up and around the perimeter of the form. It is a timber structure construction with steel reinforcement. Both walls and the horizontal steps and benches are finished with a vertical larch timber rain screen.
