Il s’agit d’une maison unifamiliale de 180m2 (120 m2 au sol) située à l’entrée d’un petit village. Le client souhaitait que le design de la maison minimise les nuisances visuelles et sonores liées à la voirie jouxtant le site et qu’il permette de profiter au maximum des vues spectaculaires sur les collines avoisinantes. L’idée de départ était de conserver la même emprise au sol et le même gabarit que le bâtiment existant.
Les matériaux utilisés (tôles ondulées, béton au sol) évoquent l’architecture agricole de la région. La maison est constituée de deux enveloppes. la première définit les vues, régule l’apport de lumière et permet l’isolation thermique du bâtiment. La seconde, délimite l’espace de vie commune (salon, salle à manger, cuisine) des espaces privés (chambres, salles de bain).
La structure de la maison est de type mixte bois/métal et le bardage extérieur est en tôle ondulée noire. Le système de chauffage sélectionné pour ce projet est une pompe à chaleur air/eau avec un chauffage au sol et un système de ventilation double flux avec récupération d’énergie.

180 sqm new house (footprint : 120sqm) located on the edge of a small village. The intention for the design is to minimise the inconveniences caused by the road and to make the most of the amazing scenery. The impact of the proposed house is the same as the existing structure as it has the same footprint and the same ridge height as the existing house. The project is finished using materials that reference the local agricultural buildings (corrugated cladding, concrete screed). The house consists of two separate envelopes. The external envelop frames the views, regulates the amount of direct sunlight and provides a good thermal insulation to the building. The internal envelop creates a boundary between the common spaces (living room, dining room and kitchen) and the private spaces (bedrooms, bathrooms). It is a timber structure construction with steel reinforcement and finished with a black corrugated cladding on the outside. The dwelling is designed to be highly energy efficient and is specified with a super-insulated, tightly sealed envelope. It has an air source heat pump combined with a heat recovery unit and an underfloor heating.
